| Any questions about the circle-of-life going on in my house have been answered since I seem to have a large spider bite on my knee that hurts in a distracting "what was I doing besides thinking about my knee" way.
The spiders that have been eating the ants will be displaced at a time and method of my choosing. And I haven't seen many ants lately. There are several possible reasons. Possibly, the spiders have been eating all the ants. More likely, I haven't been around enough to notice. (This morning when I woke up in my own room my brain was confused, where the hell are you.)

| early this morning I saw, hey, there is tea spilled on the carpet, let's clean this up so it doesn't stain. I went into the laundry room to grab carpet cleaner and then became distracted because I thought my roommate was standing there only it was the vacuum cleaner with her beach hat placed on the handle. went downstairs and sprayed on the cleaner, swiping at a small drip on the air mattress that was on the floor next to the spill. hmm, this smells like bleach, that's nice, it will clean well.
...
tonight come downstairs OH GOD WHY IS THE GREY CARPET LIGHT BEIGE oh yeah great that was bleach, hey what does bleach do, idiot, it bleaches things.
to add insult to injury the spot on the mattress is also, oh, very clean, but bleached.
my immediate thought (after the horror) -- okay, just dye the carpet spot grey, we'll try to match the color and
STOP NO STOP
really stop before you hurt yourself, quit making plans to dye the carpet.

no lists and sketches, instead I just freak out. skip the middle. [I just removed a small feather from the pin-holes venting computer-air, and it is a reminder that sometimes I determine how good a day it is by remembering if I saw an interesting bird.]
